SPECIFIC DUTIES:
• Technological lead in new product development utilizing new design concepts, materials, packaging and topologies.
• Maintain design standards to ensure new products performances, schedule and cost meet customer requirements.
• Remains vigilant of competitive development on new products and improve Pulse’s reputation with regard to product solutions provided to customer base.
• Monitor key performances related to design win, materials standardization, sample commitment, new product launch rating, quality and responsiveness.
• Manage engineering resources to develop, maintain and retain leading edge engineering talent within organization.
• Works with materials suppliers, customers and manufacturing operations to remain abreast of latest manufacturing technologies and product applications.
• Perform other duties as assigned by engineering director.
INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL RELATIONSHIPS:
• Work closely with engineering department in manufacturing organization
• Work closely with Product Line Managers
• Contact with suppliers
• Contact with supporting department (IT, Finance, HR)
CHALLENGES:
• Manage change and lead engineers to change to keep pace with customer demands.
• Provide suitable personnel to execute necessary functions of engineering group.
• Achieve excellent customer satisfaction.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
• Six years experience with a minimum of 3 years experience in engineering with supervisory experience
• Good understanding of magnetic application, market and customer requirements
• Computer literacy including Word, Excel, CAD
• Excellent command of National language for operation assigned as well as English language.
• Electrical or mechanical engineering experiences a plus.
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION:
• Bachelor degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or equivalent.
Vacancy: Design Engineer
POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for the design and the realization of magnetic products with consideration of the standard Pulse practices.
Responsibility includes the cost and manufacturability considerations to achieve successful launch into production.
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
• Perform design calculation to develop or maintain magnetic product.
• Identify and select platform / material to develop Bill of Material.
• Complete STP design from understanding original requirement to product release stage.
• Develop STWEP program activities in cooperation with design team.
• Approve A release documentation for launch to production.
• Actively participate in design review activities.
• Direct customer samples build and make all efforts to secure customer approval.
• Provide support to production operations as necessary.
INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL RELATIONSHIPS:
• Work closely with engineering group (mechanical, process, quality)
• Work closely with product manager
• Contact with Product line manager
• Ensure support is provided to program manager
CHALLENGES:
• Develop cost competitive solution to meet customer requirements.
• Ensure documentation and design solution meet cost and lead-time target.
• Providing excellent support to program management team.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
• From two to four years experience in design engineering
• Computer literacy including Word, Excel, CAD
• Good command of National language for operation assigned as well as English language.
• Able to read, understand, write using technical English vocabulary.
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION:
• Diploma in mechanical or electrical engineering with minimum of four years experience in manufacturing or equivalent.
• Or bachelor degree in mechanical or electrical engineering with a minimum of two years experience.
