片语(1)是不是指电暖器的种类?用电的便是nonrenewable,用太阳能的便是renewable.到底是cutoff还是cutoff呢,如果是前者,便不是什么器了.另"不可恢复",英文多作nonresetable

这样nonrenewable是指保护装置了.有叫 renewable fuse的,它的熔丝断了,可以更换再用, nonrenewable 的,熔丝断了,只好整个换.
如果是这个意思, nonrenewable是否可译作 不可更新 等等?

3. elevated location.我想这是说不是放在地上使用,而是放在较高的位置使用的器具,但不知用哪个词翻译比较好点.

我觉得这两者的意思很相近,后者为固定式器具,前者也有这个意思,但是带有电源线.若翻译成"特定位置使用",让别人从字面上不能一下子看出是什么意思.想来想去,都难以想出一个合适的词.

恩,是不太好翻译,不过翻译成 特定位置专用的加热器 也还说的过去．而且也有过这样翻译的例子如 dedicated receive facility
